NYS Part-Time Tuition Assistance Program (PTAP)

State Education Law was amended to create a Part-Time Tuition Assistance Program (PTAP) for students attending SUNY, CUNY and not-for-profit independent degree granting colleges in New York State and enrolled in six to eleven credits applicable toward the degree program, per semester. Part-time TAP provides tuition awards to students attending college on a part-time basis. Basic eligibility criteria and income limits for PTAP are the same as TAP with some additional eligibility criteria as described below. For additional information, visit HESC.

  • Awards amounts are pro-rated for part-time students based on the number of credits they are taking
