Career Services Office


The Career Services Office (CSO) assists students as they navigate their transition from student to professional. Students start in the Career Lab, where they can use dedicated computers to work on their Grow With Google Career Certificates, Career Portfolio development, and job search, accessing opportunities in the Hostos Handshake portal. Additionally, one-on-one career counseling, career fairs, and workshops are available to current students and recent alumni; registration is open through Handshake or in-person at our office in D-210.

In one-on-one appointments and workshops, Career Services experts help students and alumni shape and realize their career goals through planning and decision-making support. With the use of O*Net’s My Next Move, the NACE Career Assessment, MBTI, and other assessment tools, Career Advisors help students better understand the pathways between majors and careers, enabling students to make informed decisions and achieve better outcomes. Employment readiness services consist of resources such as assistance with resumes, cover letter reviews, networking tools, job search best practices, interview tips, and more.

Once a student has scheduled an interview, the Suited for Success resource room can help them access the business attire and accessories they need to find success.
