English Start

CSE 101 is a CUNY START English course designed to help students develop strategies from improving comprehension through discussions of and written responses to cross disciplinary texts. Students will learn to become active readers and writers to summarize and explain their understanding of ideas, and to support their analysis with appropriate references to the readings. By the end of the semester, students will have acquired strategies for improving their reading and writing skills. Students who pass will meet CUNY Proficiency Standards for college readiness.
