Description

This course introduces the student to the roles, functions and responsibilities of the practical nurse in the care of the child-bearing and child-rearing family and the needs may be associated with the occurrence of common health problems throughout the life cycle. Utilizing components of the nursing process, students are expected to integrate patho-physiological, psychosocial, spiritual, environmental, and rehabilitative aspects in nursing care. Topics of study include the social and medical issues that may support or weaken the family as a unit.
